From the centre of Frome, head to the roundabout at the top of Bath Street, and turn right onto Christchurch Street West (A362). Take the second left - Park Road (opposite the Memorial Theatre).

Head up Park Road and after 50m turn left down a narrow lane. If you are a visual person look for our lovely lime green sign. If you are numerical in inclination, count four trees on the left hand side of Park Road and the lane is immediately after the fourth tree! We are at the far end of the lane

*Sat Nav Users - our postcode will take you to the pedestrian entrance (tricky if you are in a car!). If you end up a little lost, head down the hill to the roundabout, keep left onto Christchurch Street West and follow the instructions above

Get in Touch

Hello I’m Kate and I take customers through the variety of services Geoff offers and will chat with you about what concerns you the most to make sure you get the right fit. I’m available to give advice on the most appropriate type of survey and can send you examples and quotes to review.

I have been running Universal Secretaries since 2008, providing administration and secretarial support for a number of different companies. With many years’ experience in administration, I started my career in a recruitment agency as the receptionist and over the years worked my way to PA level working in small, medium and large companies.

I started working for Geoff in 2010 by typing his reports but became more involved when I started providing customer relations support, being the first point of call for clients, answering their queries and managing their survey plan and the survey process.

"I love working with Geoff. I really enjoy typing his reports as they are really interesting and informative and I have learnt a lot about buildings by doing so! Geoff is really easy to work with, very down to earth and approachable. I also really enjoy speaking to his clients and helping them on their journey, especially when I see how much of a difference we can make to their experience."

GJN Plumbing and Heating

"I like to ensure my customers feel safe and get good and reliable service they can recommend.

I believe it is important to have the heating checked as part of the pre purchase survey as there are many pitfalls that can be over looked. Heating is one of the most important parts of the home and many clients find that a more detailed survey gives them better peace of mind into the future."

Glyn undertook his apprentice training with a local firm working on local authority housing and domestic work. He continued with the same firm for 6 years before setting up on his own. JCE electrical contractors

"I strive to give the best customer service possible, as I believe that a satisfied customer is the best form of publicity available.

I believe it is important for people to have the electrics checked thoroughly because quite simply, electricity kills. Electricity is a major cause of accidental fires in UK homes - over 20,000 each year, while nine out of 10 fires are caused by electrical products."

Based in Frome and formed in 1999, JCE provides an expert electrical opinion to those requiring advice, electrical design, inspection, testing etc. We install, maintain and service all electrical installations including domestic, commercial, agricultural and small/medium industrial installations. We are also accredited to install solar photovoltaic arrays.
